I’m really appreciating the trend to longer videos from Epic Planet. Epic Blue Ridge is 75 minutes long – perfect as we begin to add additional time to our indoor training or cycling classes.
Epic Blue RidgeJoin three hard core cyclists from Asheville, North Carolina on a hard-charging training ride up the gorgeous Blue Ridge Parkway, finishing with a 20 minute climb to the top of Mt. Mitchell, the highest point in the East at over 6,500 feet and the finish point of the infamous Assault on Mt. Mitchell road race, rated as one of the ten toughest single day rides in the USA!
The North Carolina mountains around Asheville are a popular training ground for serious cyclists in the East. Passing through this region is the Blue Ridge Parkway – over 300 miles of champagne pavement that winds and weaves along the crest of the Blue Ridge mountains at altitudes of between 2,000 to over 5,000 feet. Limited to low-speed car traffic and with challenging terrain, the Blue Ridge Parkway offers a perfect training ground for the serious cyclist. Now, you can preview it for yourself and get some serious training accomplished too!
This is a challenging 75 minute workout with over 5,000 feet of vertical climbing. It also features a downloadable Training Guide by North Carolina native, bike racer and indoor cycling instructor, Mark Peterson, PLUS a new countdown-by-segment timer, AND an exciting Alt Rock music tack with some really excellent tunes!
And for those choosing downloads, each purchase gets you two versions of this ride: one with the epic digital dashboard of ride data and a “clean” version with no digital dashboard.

And the music doesn’t sound half bad 🙂
